Rising Afrobeats star Anthony Ebuka Victor, popularly known as Victony, has linked up with Nigerian rap heavyweight Olamide for a new single titled Skido.
The record, released as part of New Music Friday, serves as a major teaser for Victony’s forthcoming project.

Produced by hitmaker Blaise Beatz, Skido delivers a hard-hitting blend of Afrobeats and street-hop. The track weaves together booming basslines, sharp percussion, atmospheric synths, and infectious melodies, creating a sound that balances dancefloor appeal with motivational undertones.
Victony’s silky vocals ride the production with ease, as he reflects on resilience and faith in the face of challenges. On one of the standout lines, he sings:
“No let them crucify you (Crucify you) / Jesus don do the work already.”
The chorus, anchored by the repetitive chant of “Skido skido ah skido,” builds into an anthem of perseverance and escape. Olamide’s verse, on the other hand, injects grit and streetwise swagger, his Yoruba-laced delivery grounding the track firmly in Nigerian street culture.
Beyond its sonic punch, the collaboration carries symbolic weight. At 24, Victony has quickly carved a reputation as one of Afrobeats’ most inventive voices, with hits like Soweto and his genre-bending project Outlaw.

The record underscores Victony’s strong 2025 run, adding to a growing catalogue of genre-defying releases.
For Olamide, the feature highlights his enduring influence as a cultural gatekeeper who continues to shape the sound of the streets.
With Blaise Beatz’s urgent, layered production driving the track, Skido captures the push-and-pull between youthful ambition and veteran authority, positioning it as one of the standout collaborations of the year.
