I would have been acting if I wasn’t singing – Musician, Victony
Nigerian singer Anthony Victor, widely known as Victony, shared his backup plan, revealing that he would have pursued a career in the movie industry if he hadn’t become a musician.
The ‘Soweto‘ hitmaker acknowledged that while he may not excel at acting, he would have still given it a try. In a recent interview with MTV Base, Victony expressed, “I would have been acting if I wasn’t an artist. I don’t know how to act though, but I can try.”
He attributed his fashion sense to his father, recalling how he admired his dad’s old-school style while growing up and adopted it as his own. “My look is basically a reflection of who I am; my background, my story, and my whole person,” he added.
When asked about his favorite album, Victony revealed that he would choose ‘Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps‘ by Fireboy DML and would listen to it for three years if given the chance.
“Soweto” has not only proven to be an excellent selection but has also achieved a significant feat by surpassing 100 million streams. This accomplishment solidifies its position as Victony’s most streamed track on the platform. Notably, both versions of “Soweto” have individually amassed over 100 million streams.
By achieving this milestone, Victony joins the ranks of Burna Boy, Rema, Wizkid, Davido, and other notable Nigerian artists who have surpassed the 100 million Spotify streams milestone.
Victony’s “Soweto,” featuring Don Toliver, Rema, and Tempoe, has made history by reaching 100 million Spotify streams for both original versions. This accomplishment marks a significant achievement for the talented artist and underscores the widespread appeal of his music.
