One of the most talented Nigerian singers/rappers and songwriters, Lanre Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan is dead, after battling cancer of the throat.
The Veteran Nigerian singer, Sound Sultan has been battling cancer of the throat for a while now.
In the early hour of Sunday, 11th July 2021, the sad news was made known via the internet about his demise.
His death was confirmed in a statement issued by his family member, Dr. Kayode Fasasi.
“It is with heavy heart that we announced the death of multi talented veteran singer, Rapper, Song Writer, Olarenwaju Fasasi AKA Sound Sultan.
“He passed away at the age of 44, following hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma.
“He is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.
“We his family will appreciate utmost privacy as we come to grips with this tragic loss.”
Sound Sultan who has been known to have recorded and released top-notch songs in the Nigerian Music industry kicks the bucket at the age of 44.
