I saw the game that inspired the chant “when Nigeria beat Brazil! when Nigeria beat Brazil oh!!Bebeto start to cry, when Nigeria beat Brazil”. I ran out as a kid when Kanu scored (like every other kid) in jubilation. It wasn’t about good governance, it’s was about ‘people energy’. My mum’s best fried (Mrs. Danjuma) was from Taraba and our immediate neighbors were Igbo and Fulani. @victorinyang’s dad would always come watch news at ours based on sure cow tail egusi soup. I feel the government doesn’t have a lot of work to do with Nigerians… just do your work and we will be fine.
