Usher Postpones Opening Atlanta Stop Of “USHER: PAST PRESENT FUTURE Tour”
R&B legend Usher has announced the postponement of the opening stop of his highly anticipated “USHER: PAST PRESENT FUTURE Tour” in Atlanta.
Originally set to begin on August 14 at the State Farm Arena, Usher has delayed the concert to allow his body time to “rest and heal.” In a statement on Instagram, Usher expressed his commitment to delivering the best performance for his fans throughout his 30-plus-year career.
He stated, “I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well, which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal.”
He added, “You’re still going to get a bit of the past, some of the present, and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date, but you’ll also be getting 100 percent of me.
The last thing I want to ever do is disappoint you, the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start.”
Usher assured fans that his team would announce the rescheduled date soon and emphasized that he wants to ensure he can physically give his best performance.
The tour was initially set to start with three shows in Atlanta, followed by performances across North America until the end of November.
According to Usher’s website, the latter two Atlanta shows on August 16 and 17 are still expected to proceed. Major cities on the tour include Toronto, Brooklyn, Detroit, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Chicago.
Following a break during the holidays, Usher will resume the tour in the U.K. and Europe in March 2025.
