Ed Sheeran samples BNXN’s “Propeller” verse on new song
Nigerian singer, BNXN just added more bragging rights to his armoury as his verse on “Propeller” was sampled by Ed Sheeran on a new single.
The singer who got into a beef with Ruger in 2022 over who is the best artist took to Twitter to post a screenshot of the new song Ed Sheeran released.
From the screenshot, the British singer credited him as a songwriter on the song titled “F64” alongside the other “Propeller” song contributors, Jae5 and Dave.

The song is dedicated to the late British DJ and music businessman, Jamal Edwards who passed away on February 20 of last year at the age of 31. In 2014, he was awarded the MBE for his contributions to music.
In the song, released through the late entrepreneur’s music website SBTV, Ed Sheeran expressed his anguish at the loss of buddy Jamal Edwards who was a close friend.
Sheeran opened the comeback of the SBTV series F64 with a 64-bar freestyle dedicated to Edwards, who, according to a coroner’s prior finding at the beginning of an inquest, passed away from a cardiac arrhythmia brought on by using recreational drugs.

Sheeran appears in the music video standing in the midst of Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge stadium, where Edwards had been a lifetime supporter.
The music video opens with a shaky camera pointing at 31-year-old Sheeran, who is lit up by two spotlights and standing in a circle of candles.
Wearing a blue jumper and jeans, Sheeran begins to rap: “Yo Jam, this is a letter to you, it’s been a while but it’s been hard for me to get in the booth.
“Since we last spoke I’ve become a father-of-two trying to live life with a smile but that’s been harder to do.
“Because all I want to do is talk about you, but these tears won’t let me talk about you. We should have known that we’d be lost without you.”
Following these lyrics, the video lights up to show Jamal’s name spelt out on the seats of Stamford Bridge stadium, home of Chelsea FC, of whom Edwards was a lifelong fan.
