On Saturday night, Costa Tsobanoglou, often known as Costa Titch, passed suddenly during the Johannesburg Ultra Music Festival (11 March). According to a report by Tshisa Live, Ultra has since conveyed its sympathies to the musician’s family.

“Our deepest thoughts and most sincere sympathies are with his family, friends and our entire community who are together mourning this heartbreaking loss,” the statement continued.
This comes after SABC News reported that police have begun an investigation into the Super Soft hitmaker’s death.
“We can confirm that the police in SAPS Booysen have registered a case of inquest following the death of 28-year-old Mr Costa Tsobanoglou on 11 March 2023. It is reported that Tsobanoglou collapsed while he was performing at the Ultra South Africa concert at Nasrec,” read a statement according to SABC News.
According to Weekend Argus, the cause of death has not been determined, however, there is conjecture that the musician’s seizure may have been brought on by the flashing lights. It was well known that the musician had epilepsy, a disorder that affects the brain and results in seizures.
“Post-mortem will determine the cause of death,” the statement continued.
