I’m not Davido’s nanny or personal assistant – Ubi Franklin
Music executive Ubi Franklin has addressed misconceptions about his role in Davido’s team, emphasizing that he is not part of the singer’s management nor Chioma’s assistant.
The clarification came in response to online speculations, following Franklin’s announcement of an upcoming book aimed at dispelling public misunderstandings about him.
In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Franklin praised Davido’s management team for their exceptional professionalism and success, while affirming his position as the founder of Made Men Music Group (MMMG).
He acknowledged that working with a brand like Davido’s would be an honor, attributing the singer’s influence to a status that surpasses even some political figures, saying:
“Davido is Africa’s Biggest Artiste and owner of DMW. He is more influential than a governor of many states you worship, the only thing he doesn’t have is a government budget.”
Franklin highlighted his qualifications and experience, refuting rumors of him being Davido’s PA or nanny. Instead, he affirmed his focus on the business side of the industry, sharing plans for the relaunch of MMMG 2.0 early next year, backed by two decades of experience in the music business.
The statement reflects Franklin’s commitment to redefining his narrative while celebrating Davido’s groundbreaking influence on Africa’s music scene.
