Ubi Franklin explains why Davido tasked him with managing Chioma.
Nigerian talent manager Ubi Franklin has disclosed that Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, hired him to be Chioma’s manager.
While discussing his connection with the DMW boss and his girlfriend, Chioma Avril Rowland, on the Tea with Taymesan podcast, the music executive disclosed the revelation.
He claims that the OBO Crooner called him in 2018 and asked for something because he considers him a member of his family.
Ubi also revealed that Davido has consistently helped him in a variety of ways and has never once condemned him for any of the contentious problems with his marriage or career.
The Socialite claimed that occasionally, if he is depressed or going through his hardest times, OBO always calls to lift his spirits. According to him, Davido “is always there for him even at his worst”
He reiterated that he values his relationship with them and loves them greatly because they always stand by him.

Recently, Ubi Franklin caused a stir across the social media space after inking the tattoo of Davido’s late son’s nickname on his hand.
Many argued that Ubi Franklin was overdoing his ‘nanny’ position to the late three-year-old boy.
In reaction to the unending backlash, the music executive penned a note to naysayers on how their opinion is irrelevant.
In a lengthy note, he wrote;
“Opinionated people: They have little awareness of how they’re coming off or how others are emotionally reacting to them.
Often they have the best of intentions to help whomever they’re speaking to and can’t understand why the other person isn’t happy to hear what they have to say.
Keep your opinions to yourself, I don’t care how anyone feels about how I have decided to live my life. Just focus on you and leave me and those I have decided to love out.
Because we are very pretentious about showing real love, when we see real love we call it clout.”
