Ubi Franklin unfollows Vado The Great amid alleged N15 million dispute.
A bitter dispute has erupted between music executive Ubi Franklin and singer Kizz Daniel over a N15 million commission.
The feud began when Ubi Franklin secured a N150 million gig for Kizz Daniel in Nigeria, with an initial agreement of a 10% commission for Ubi.
However, things took a turn when Ubi Franklin deducted his share and sent N135 million to Kizz Daniel.
The singer demanded the full amount, threatening to pull out of the show if his demands weren’t met.
Ubi Franklin reluctantly paid the entire N150 million, but received only N7.5 million (5% of the total amount) instead of the agreed-upon N15 million.
The disagreement escalated into a heated argument, with both parties using harsh words and eventually blocking each other on social media. Ubi Franklin unfollowed Kizz Daniel on Instagram, prompting the singer to block Ubi Franklin.
The crux of the dispute lies in the differing accounts of the agreement. While Ubi Franklin claims a 10% commission was agreed upon, Kizz Daniel insists that the initial agreement was between Ubi and his brother, not him, and that he only offered Ubi 5% as a gesture of goodwill.
As the dust settles, it remains to be seen if the two can resolve their differences and put this unpleasant episode behind them.
