The whole drama started when an upcoming artist by the name of Foresythe went on twitter to post screenshots of messages between him and Buju. In the screenshots, Buju told the artist that his music was trash and therefore he couldn’t be on the song.
Buju continued by telling the artist that he was aiming for the world while the artist was aiming for ‘iperu campus and ladies’, and that they were not in the same league be it in size, music, streams, fans or money.
The messages didn’t sit well with many Twitter users who called Buju selfish and proud. According to them, if not for Twitter users pleading on his behalf, Zlatan won’t have featured in his 2019 song, “Spiritual”.
Some even went as far as posting screenshots of a message he sent them way back before he became famous, begging them to listen to his music.

I rate Buju but that leaked DM reeks of pride.
You don’t tell you’re fellow creative their work is trash. You can constructively criticize their work.
He’s been spending time with Burna don’t mean he should start being proud and arrogant.
Burna own Na different case.

I’m a Buju Stan but after that DM, he lost my respect. If not for Zlatan in his life, he’d still be that SoundCloud artiste everyone begs their friends to listen to, so which one come be the stupid pride?

Is this not the same Buju who owes his entire career to the thousands of people who literally had to beg Zlatan to hop on his beat?
