Tottenham complete signing of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the signing of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.
Prior to the end of the transfer window, new Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou wanted to add a fresh wide forward with pace, and they have already finalized a deal for Wales international Johnson.
The 22-year-old leaves Forest, having joined the team when he was eight years old, breaking into their first team, and aiding them in their 2022 promotion back to the Premier League.
Tottenham negotiated a £45 million fee with Forest on the day before the transfer deadline to sign the versatile forward after pursuing him for the last few weeks of the summer transfer window.

Prior to the 11 p.m. transfer deadline, he quickly travelled to London to pass a medical, and he has since been introduced as Spurs‘ newest player.
Johnson becomes Tottenham’s ninth and final signing of the summer. Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro’s loans were made permanent, while Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Ashley Phillips, Micky Van de Ven and Alejo Veliz also joined the club.
Johnson signed a contract before the transfer cutoff, but because he didn’t register in time for Saturday’s trip to Burnley, he won’t be able to make his Tottenham debut until after the break.
