Rapper Tory Lanez who has been off from social media for a while after been accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion returned to social media on the 24th of September.
Tory Lanez dropped a surprising album titled ‘Daystar’ in which he shares his side of the story and what happened with Megan Thee Stallion during the July Incident.
On his new album, Lanez questions her account, rapping on Money Over Fallouts: “ Gotta see a couple questions / How the f— you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons? / How the f— your team is trying to pay me in some whole millions? / I just lost like 10 million dollars because this cold business / But I got like 10 million followers that’s gon’ roll with me / Fans that support me because they know my heart.”
He also addressed the joke made about his height; “Oh, now I’m 5’3”? N—-s saying I’m a shorty / But lil’ bitch I’m 5’7, money on me side-stepping / And if I stand on my wallet you can see my thighs in heaven.”
He went further to slam American singer, JoJo who took his verse off her Deluxe Album; “JoJo, that was a bozo move / You tryna take me off a song that got you the most views / Got mad love for you, though, your label, they confused / They spent fifty on my feature, they $50K in the luge right now.”
Though he didn’t stop there as he continued with; “Hey JoJo I need you to take notes too / Don’t take me off the deluxe album that nobody gives a f— about / Take me off the original too / Cause when I’m scrolling through the Spotify playlist / And I see my name in both ya’ll top 5 playlists / It just feels a little unsincere.”

He however doesn’t explain how Megan got the foot wound but subtly hints at why the “Girls in the Hood” might be angry at him;
“Me and Kylie (Jenner) still off in the pool / We was chilling, kicking s—, was cool /Both of us didn’t know you was tripping / Even though I got a crush on Kylie, I woulda left with you if I knew you was dipping, for the simple reason / You invited me, but I can’t act like shawty didn’t excite me.”
He repeatedly suggests that Megan has been influenced by others in her life to come up with a false story about a shooting, and denies that he would ever harm a woman.
On the track Queen and Slim, Lanez raps: “I wasn’t the wrong one that night, you was just too drunk to even see it … I’ve never even had an argument with ya.” On the track In the Air he raps “I’ve never hit no woman”, and says the situation is a test from God: “He’s using Megan as a vessel and a test of faith.”
He also apologizes, to an extent, for his emotional behavior, saying in “Care for You”: “There’s traumas in my past that make me talk loud and lash at you / Sorry for the times my attitude mixed with the status too.”
Lanez was arrested in July following the incident, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and released on bail. In August, the LA County district attorney’s office said it was reviewing the case over a possible assault charge, and asked LA police to investigate it further.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident stated that Megan Thee Stallion, had cut her foot on broken glass but she made a statement three days later saying: “I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”
She also posted and later deleted a graphic image of her foot during surgery, writing: “I got hit at the back of my feet … why would I lie abt getting shot?”
In an Instagram Live stream in August, she said: “Tory shot me. You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs, lying and shit. Stop lying.”
She detailed further claims about the incident. She suggested there had been an argument in a car between her, Lanez, her friend and his security guard. “I get out the car, I’m done arguing … I’m walking away. [Lanez], from out the back seat of the car, starts shooting me. You shot me.”
She said she initially blamed the injury on broken glass because she was scared of the police following high-profile incidents of brutality against black people. “The police come, I’m scared. Police was literally killing black people for no reason. The police is really aggressive. You think I’m about to tell the police that us black people got a gun in the car?”
