Here are the best Nigerian songs for March 2023.
Soweto remix- Victony ft Rema, Don Toliver
In 2022, Victony made a name for himself with his “Outlaw” Ep and while all the songs from the project were great, “Soweto” featuring Tempoe was an instant favourite even dominating Tik-Tok.
Fast forward to March, 2023, the singer released the official remix of the infectious banger ‘Soweto‘ featuring American singer, Don Toliver and Afrobeats golden boy, Rema.
The Tempoe-produced tune has so far been one of Victony’s most popular songs in his young discography.
Don Toliver and Rema provided the music with the necessary seasoning on the ‘Soweto‘ remix. The track’s melodic instrumentation, created by one of the most skilled beatmakers in the Nigerian music industry, the one and only Tempoe, allowed them to both deliver their polling units while blending in perfectly.
Philo remix- Bella Shmurda ft Nasty C
Bella Shmurda is currently on a music binge; the artist, who at the beginning of March released his first song for 2023 with “Ara (Gen Gen Tin),” is out performing once more.
This time, he teams up with Nasty C to remix his well-known song “Philo,” which he previously collaborated on with Omah Lay.
For anyone thinking Nasty C is out of his element to be featuring on a song like “Philo“, he proves them wrong with his bars.
Stamina- Tiwa Savage ft Ayra Starr, Young Jonn
Tiwa Savage takes another step towards a “successful 2023” as she comes out with something new for the audience, following her admirable contribution to the remix of Spyro’s smash tune “Who is Your Guy”.
This time, she records the stunning song “Stamina” with Chocolate City singer-songwriter and record producer Young Jonn and Mavin Records’ Ayra Starr.
“Stamina” sees three brilliant professionals give their all to make magic. This song proves that something a pot of soup definitely needs the hands of different cooks.
Omo Ologo- Zlatan
For his second official single of the year, Zlatan goes solo for the inspirational track, “Omo Ologo”
Unlike his typical tracks, Zlatan utilizes the soothing orchestration of the tune, which was created by up-and-coming beatmaker Chech, to express himself. Over the beat, the rapper raps with sincere gratitude.
Pressure- Peruzzi ft Fireboy DML
Peruzzi started 2023 on a good note with his first official single, named “Pressure.” The song includes YBNL’s wunderkind, Fireboy DML, and it is their second collaboration after the release of ‘Southy Love‘ in December 2020.
With his sweet vocals, Peruzzi expresses his emotions in the song. On the other side, Fireboy woos his love interest with inventive vocals in an effort to win her over.
‘Pressure‘ is Peruzzi’s first release since he released ‘Hypertension’ and ‘Things I Need‘ in August of last year. It is produced by talented beatmaker 3 Heads.
Who is Your Guy remix- Spyro ft Tiwa Savage
Spyro is on a fantastic run right now thanks to the smash single “Who is Your Guy,” which is obviously all over the streets of Nigeria. Even with the above, the singer still wanted to shake things up, which resulted to a remix of the song that featured Tiwa Savage, one of Nigeria’s best musicians.
The Mr Soul-produced remix of “Who is Your Guy” marks Sypro’s debut release for 2023 as well as his first time working with Tiwa Savage. The remix directly follows the original version which was published back in November 2022.
Lock Up- Nonso Amadi ft Zinoleesky
Heralding the release of his hotly anticipated debut album, Canada-based Nigerian singer-songwriter, Nonso Amadi releases a new single off the project. The song is called ‘Lock Up,’ and it includes Zinoleesky, a Marlian Music wunderkind.
Nonso Amadi plays the persistent side character on “Lock Up” who refuses to give up on his love interest even though she already has a partner.
With his seductive vocals, Zinoleesky lends support to the circumstance. He sings over the song’s melodic instrumentation and uses lyrics like, “tell your guy make him lock up, say the main man don come, e no go make sense if him fvck up.”
Party No Dey Stop- Adekunle Gold ft Zinoleesky
In 2022, Adekunle Gold had a strong year. The singer-songwriter has consistently been on his game with releases like the magnificent “5 Star,” its remix with hip-hop royalty Rick Ross, and of course, his star-studded fourth studio album “Catch Me If You Can.”
The singer is still making an impression in 2023. Adekunle Gold released his first instalment of the year three months into the calendar year. The singer-songwriter teams up with Zinoleesky, a rising star in Marlian music, to release the upbeat song “Party No Dey Stop.”
The song “Party No Dey Stop,” produced by renowned beatmaker Kel P, is about having more fun and less stress.
With lyrics such as “me wey I don high on paraga, why I go get time for wahala,” AG and Zinoleesky are pro-party and anti-wahala on the new joint.
