Ozumba’s remix is Reekado’s debut of the year, following his body of work, OTR, Vol.1 (EP), which was published last year.
The connection between Reeky and Fireboy is outstanding, with production credit going to P Prime, leading the Amapiano sound to burst into a touch of Afro-life.

With his first solo single of the year, ‘Calm Down,‘ produced by Andre Vibez and recorded in London, Rema enters the ‘Rave & Roses‘ album phase.
Rema’s genre-bending sound, which he’s now named Afrorave, is highlighted by the addictive melody and combination of rhythms.
The subject that goes throughout ‘Calm Down‘ is focused on the pleasure of finding love, the pursuit of a love interest, as well as the downside of unreciprocated feelings and disappointment at the beginning of it.
L.A.X ft Ayra Starr-Options
L.A.X comes through with a solid pop sensation titled, Options.
Being the singer’s official first number of the year, it features Mavin Records recording pop vibe, Ayra Starr.
It serves as a follow-up to the extended version of his previously released album “Zaza Vibes,” which dropped last year.
Fireboy DML ft 21 Savage, Blxst- Peru
YBNL recording artiste, Fireboy DML has released another remix to his 2021 smash hit, ‘Peru‘, enlisting American rapper, 21 Savage and singer, Blxst.
The earlier “Peru” remix, which featured English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, was a smash hit on the charts, radio stations, and streets prior to this release.
It became the third Nigerian debut in less than a year, breaking the record for the highest Billboard Hot 100 debut by a Nigerian in Afrobeats history, peaking at #79.
Produced by the usual suspect, Shizzi, Fireboy’s combination of Afropop and hip-hop on this input explains the necessity for this collaboration.
