Grammy Nomination:
Afrobeat’s Super star, Oluwa Burna is on the list for the 2021 awards by the Recording Academy.
Burna boy’s recent album, ‘Twice As Tall’ got the nod.
The singer was nominated under the World Music Album alongside other entertainers like Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar and Tianariwen.
This is the second year in a row that Burna boy is getting a nomination in this category.
Best World Album at Edison 2020:
Grammy-nominated singer, Burna boy has just won the ‘Best World Album’ award at the just-concluded 2020 Edison Awards.
His win makes him the first Nigerian to win the award, and the third African with Youssou N’Dour bagging it first in 1994 and Angélique Kidjo in 2018.

Highest Charting Project (Twice as Tall):
Burna Boy’s fifth studio album, Twice as Tall, released on 14 August 2020 became his highest-charting project so far, debuting at number 54 on the Billboard 2020.
This without a doubt is a huge achievement for the Afrobeats living legend.

Burna boy, being the African Giant that he his is among to few artistes to have many nominations in the Headies Awards 2020.

The Album Twice as Tall:
The Nigerian superstar Burnaboy, doubles down on his landmark 2019 album African Giant with his fantastic styles and big-name guests that amplify his own compelling voice.
It is safe to say having Twice as Tall as an album is an achievement on its own. It included many international executive producers; Timberland, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Mike Dean, Ander Harris, Mario Winans, Skread, leriQ and Rexxie.
International artistes that were featured in the album are Stormzy, Sauti Sol, Naughty by Nature, Chris Martin.
