These are the top 5 Nigerian musicians who should never be neglected or disrespected.
Nigeria is surely blessed with unimaginably outstanding talents that sometimes do not appear to be appreciated by us all due to the proliferation of artistes in the music industry, and here are the top 5 Nigerian Musicians who should never be Neglected.
These artistes were once on top of the radar but because they have refused to follow trends, their works are no longer well appreciated like they used to.
In no particular other, below is the list of artistes we think should never be written off at any point in the music industry.
Top 5 Nigerian Musicians Who Should Never Be Neglected
Wande Coal
Wande Coal is no doubt one of the biggest talents we’ve got in this music industry. He’s got good vocals and can write good music.
His exit from Mavin Records back then resulted in a shaky career run for him but anytime Wande releases new material, you will always feel it in the body and soul.
We really don’t know why he is not getting much-deserved accolades in the industry right now but I can tell you that his song “So Mi So” is far better than Burna Boy’s Gbona.
D’banj
He is an entertainer par excellence. Koko Master as he is fondly called is the only Nigerian artiste whose music cut across the Ajebutter and Ajepako Nigerians.
As a matter of fact, his music was much appreciated internationally, what brought about the setback in his career is still yet unknown but I still have a strong belief that Koko Master still got much to offer musically and as such, he shouldn’t be written off yet.
Duncan Mighty
Before 2018, the Port-Harcourt first son was already written off and classified among the likes of Eedris Abudulkareem, YQ, Konga, Faze whose music career might never see the light of the day again.
Little did we know that Duncan deliberately pause his music career to hustle for money outside the music industry.
He came back in 2018 to prove to everyone he is not an artiste to be written off. He jumped on Fake Love with Wizkid and the song came out huge.
M.I Abaga
When it comes to rap, M.I has come a long way. Despite taking a long break away from the scene, no other rapper seems to fit into the rap legacy he has laid.
Falz and Ycee are trying but both of them combined might not beat M.I’s record in another 5 years.
Even though rap music is currently under-appreciated in Nigeria, M.I’s ability to fix rap in Nigeria is still early to doubt.
9ice
He isn’t a regular artiste as we see Davido and Wizkid but would you agree if I say he has done music to a point legendary?
His past works are still speaking well of him and of course, he doesn’t deserve to be written off yet in the business of music.
