    The songs were a hit not just on the homefront but internationally. They put Nigeria and Afrobeat on the global map resulting in international recognition.

    Today we have compiled a list of top 5 Naija songs that have received international certifications.

    • Risky – Davido ft Popcaan

    Risky is off Davido’s A Good Time album and was one of the biggest songs for 2019. The song featured Jamaican dancehall artiste, Popcaan.

    The song went double platinum in South Africa. For a song to be certified platinum in South Africa, it has to have been sold more 30,000 units.

     

    • Blow My Mind – Davido ft Chris Brown

    Blow My Mind is off Davido’s A Good Time album and features American singer, Chris Brown. The song was certified Platinum in South Africa. The song was produced by Shizzi.

     

     

    • On the Low – Burna Boy

    “On the low” is of Burna Boy’s African Giant album. The Kel P produced song was certified Gold in France.

    For a song to be certified Gold in France, it means that the song has sold over 100,000 units.

     

    • Come Closer – Wizkid ft Drake

    Come Closer is off Wizkid’s Sounds from the other side. The song featured Canadian rapper, Drake, and is their second collaboration after One Dance.

    The song was certified Gold in Canada and then silver in the United Kingdom. A song has to sell 40,000 units before it can be certified gold in Canada.

     

     

    • Fall – Davido

    Considered to be Davido’s greatest hit song ever, Fall was released in 2017 as the second single from A Good Time album.

    The song was produced by Kiddominant and currently has three international Certifications. It was certified Platinum in South Africa for selling 20,000 units, Gold in Canada for selling 40,000 units and Gold in the USA for selling over 500,000 units.

    The Music video is currently Davido’s highest viewed video on Youtube.
