Just like every other year, 2020 has seen the release of good music from artists despite the coronavirus pandemic.
As the year come close to an end, Mp3bullet.ng compiles a list of the Top 10 trending songs in Nigeria for 2020.
This list includes songs that were the most searched for on Google. It includes songs from artists like Simi, Davido, Mayorkun, Rema, XXXTentacion, Burna Boy, Nicki Minaj.
Davido – Fem
Produced by Up-and-coming music producer, Napji, “Fem” became Davido’s biggest song of 2020. It was released sometime in September and amassed one million views on Youtube in less than 24hours.
It also topped various streaming charts when it was released. The #endSars protest also helped boost its popularity.
Through the song, Davido sends a message to his enemies, asking them a crucial question “Why you dey para for me?”. It was suspected that song was a message to Burna Boy who is said to be on bad terms with him.
Simi – Duduke
“Duduke” is Simi’s biggest song for 2020 for many reasons. The song was released in the month of April and produced by Oscar.
The song became popular after she dropped the Music Video on her birthday revealing she was expecting a child.
The song even started a challenge called the Duduke Challenge which Pregnant women joined in.
XXXTentacion – Bad
“Bad”, is a song by American rapper XXXTentacion, released as a single on November 8, 2018. It is XXXTentacion’s fifth posthumous single.
The song was teased before his death and released off his posthumous album, “Skins”. The song became his third posthumous single to go platinum.

Mayorkun ft Davido – Betty Butter
“Betty Butter” is a collaboration between Mayorkun and his boss, Davido. The song was an instant hit and the two would later recreate this feat on Davido’s “The Best” song.
Rema- Ginger me
“Ginger Me” is the second official single Rema released this 2020 following the release of “Beamer”.
On the dance-driven beat produced by The Element, Rema shares how his woman is his inspiration.
Rema – Woman
On “Woman”, Rema sings about the female gender and his love for them no matter the size or shape they come in.
He gives a commentary on their different roles in his life; From The Cougar to the witch or the caring one, he is never short of them.
Burna Boy – Wonderful
To set the pace for his album, “Twice as Tall” earlier in the year, Burna Boy released Wonderful.
The song which was produced by Telz is a mixture of soul, reggaeton, a little bit of house, and the vocal texture of Kwaito music.
In the upbeat groovy song, Burna talks about the reason he hustles and the responsibilities he shoulders. He also names drops Nigerian Billionaire, Adebayor Ogunlesi who he says he draws his inspiration from.

Patoranking – Abule
“Abule” is the lead single off Patoranking’s “Three” album. The song is a homage to his roots and life in the Ghetto.
The song was produced by Telz popularly known by his signature slang, “Funkula”.
Naira Marley – Tesumole
Since his entrance into the music industry, Naira Marley has been known for dropping street bangers, “Tesumole” is one of them.
Produced by Rexxie, “Tesumole is off Naira Marley’s debut EP, Lord Of Lamba, and released in 2019.
