Although released in 2020 off Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos“, “Essence” has been topping playlists in 2021. Nigerians are not the only ones catching the bug, International celebrities like Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys have also endorsed the song.
Rock- Olamide
Olamide started out as an artist for the street but in the last two years, his sound has evolved starting from his 999 EP but was more solidified in his 2020 “Carpe Diem” album.

There is something electrifying about “Pronto“, from the beat to the lyrics filled with sexual innuendos. Ajebo Hustlers and Omah Lay created a magic jam for Summer that have one wiggling their body whenever the song comes on.
Tonongo- Sarz X Lojay
Whenever Sarz releases a collaborative project with a rising artist, it is always fire. He dominated charts with Wurld in 2019 thanks to their “I Love Girls with Trobul” project, now he is ruling the airwaves with Lojay thanks to their ‘LV N ATTN‘ project.

KPK remix- Rexxie, Mohbad ft Sho Madjozi
The O.G version of “KPK” was released in 2020 and was played in clubs, streets, bars, everywhere. It also added another slang (Ko Por Ke) to the street dictionary. The remix released in 2021 didn’t disappoint. Sho Madjozi only adds more spice and flavour to the already sweet melody.

Earlier in the year, Rema promised fans ‘bangers’ all through and he hasn’t disappointed. At first, he dropped the groovy “Bounce” which had Don jazzy at the helm of production ad later was the hook master on Jae5‘s “Dimension” but his latest release, “Soundgasm” is on another level.
The song which sounds Indian-like is a mid-tempo tune that has women whining their waist to the magnetifying beat. The song has set a social media challenge titled #GrapeChallenge.
Fendi- Blaqbonez ft Joeboy
Blaqbonez’s “Sex Over Love” album had a lot of gems so it was hard to pick one but the proper choice for this list was “Fendi” featuring Joeboy.

Outside- Buju
