    They represent all areas of Afrobeat and can still be considered trending.

    10. Flavour Ft Umu Obiligbo – Awele

    Flavour is seen as the king of New school Highlife but doing a doing with Highlife duo, Umu Obiligbo cemented his reign.

    Awele is off their collaborative EP of the same name released in 2018 and Igbo traditional marriage ceremonies are incomplete if the DJ doesn’t play this song.

     

    9. Adekunle Gold – Before you wake up

    Adekunle Gold can be considered an expert in making love songs but he gave us a different type of schooling on love songs in “Before you wake up”

    The smooth jazz-like song has the power to make you fall in love several times over. The song was produced by Sess and released in 2019.

     

    8. DJ Spinall ft Tekno – Baby Girl

    Released in 2018, “Baby Girl” is off DJ Spinall’s “Iyanu” album. It features the vocals of multitalented singer, Tekno.

    Mavin Records In-house hit-maker Altims blessed Rema with a banging beat and production that compliments Remmy boy’s catchy lyrics to produce “Lady”. The song is off Rema’s “Bad Commando” EP

     

    6. Yemi Alade ft Rick Ross – Oh My Gosh

    Yemi Alade dropped her fourth studio album, “Woman Of Steel” in 2019 and “Oh My Gosh” is off the album.  In the remix of the song, she features American rapper, Rick Ross.

    The two manage to turn an already good song into a better one. The remix has some slight changes to the beat as it becomes more fast-paced.

     

     

    5. Burna Boy ft Zlatan – Killin Dem

    Burna Boy dropped the best of hit songs in 2019 and “Killin Dem” featuring Zlatan could be counted as one of them.

    Released as a single off his Grammy-nominated album, “African Giant”, the song sees Burna Boy adding to the Zanku dance playlist.

     

    4. Wizkid X Blaq Jerzee – Blow

    “Blow” is a mid-tempo song from the collaborative effort of Wizkid and music producer/singer, Blaq Jerzee. The song is off Wizkid’s “Soundman Vol 1” EP.

    “Blow My Mind” is set to be one of Davido’s best work off “A Good Time” album. Featuring American singer, Chris Brown, the song was a hit immediately it dropped. It broke record on Youtube with more 7 million views in the first week of its Music Video release.

    Produced by Instagram sensation, Lord Sky, “Audio Money” is a masterpiece by former member of P-square, Rudeboy.

    The song which set a trend as the song took fired shot at people who try to act fake.

     

    1. Fireboy DML – Scatter

    Fireboy DML is a class of his own in terms of lyrics, vocals and sound. The YBNL singer stole everyone’s heart with his debut song, “Jealous” then dropped his debut EP, “Laughter, Tears and Goose Bumps”.
