Tony Forbes, AKA’s father, recalled a touching and amusing incident involving the time his son took him Christmas shopping in Sandton.
On March 21, Tony Forbes, the late rapper AKA’s father, posted a touching remembrance of his son taking him Christmas shopping.
On February 10, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, better known by his stage as AKA, and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were shot and killed in front of the Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
Meanwhile, On March 21, Tony Forbes, the father of AKA, posted a touching memory of his late son on Instagram. He revealed that that was the day AKA went Christmas shopping in five images that appear to be from a few years back.

Tony jokingly said he was just delighted to be spending time with his son and that he never did get the R3000 perfume he wanted.
Last weekend, Tony Forbes showed up to support AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai at her first performance since the rapper passed away.
“Remember when you took me Christmas shopping…although I think it was much more about you showing me that i8 lol. To this day I never got that R3k perfume from Sandton City. I did not mind though. It was great just spending the day with you my boy,” he wrote.
