Rising Nigerian street-pop sensation TML Vibez has opened up about the artists who have shaped his sound, citing Wizkid, Asake, Olamide, and Seyi Vibez as his biggest musical inspirations.

Each, he says, represents a different layer of his artistry, from global finesse to street-rooted authenticity and raw emotional expression.
In a candid interview on Yanga FM 89.9 Lagos, widely shared on social media, TML Vibez explained how these influences mirror his own evolving sound and identity.
“I get my inspiration from Wizkid, Asake, Olamide, and Seyi Vibez,” he stated, highlighting the quartet’s impact on his melodic, introspective style fused with raw street energy.

The revelation also comes amid lingering fan tensions from TML Vibez’s past association with Seyi Vibez. The rising star initially gained prominence under Vibez Inc., Seyi Vibez’s imprint distributed through Dapper Music, dropping hits like “Goated” and “Where I’m From.” However, a messy split in 2025 fueled accusations of betrayal, with some fans branding TML a “Judas” for aligning more closely with Dapper after the separation.
Rumours about contract disputes, revenue disagreements, and blocked releases stirred heated debates online, fracturing the once-united NSNV (No Seyi No Vibez) fanbase.
Despite the drama, TML Vibez’s acknowledgement of his influences shows a grounded respect for the artists who paved the way, while signalling his intent to carve out a unique path in Afrobeats and street-pop.
