‘You are a useless man, are you normal?’: Tiwa Savage blasts Naijashimadun who makes a mockery of her new album

Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has publicly blasted media personality Naijashimadun after he criticised her newly released album, One is Personal.
The 15-track project, which dropped on August 29, 2025, marks Tiwa’s first full-length release since Celia in 2020, ending her five-year break from major projects. However, the album’s slow start on the charts has sparked online conversations.
Naijashimadun, in a video made with a ring light, alleged that Tiwa Savage had been “blacklisted,” which he claimed explained why her album struggled commercially.
He further suggested that Tiwa, as one of the industry’s most seasoned acts, should play a “godmother role” by supporting rising female artists with collaborations.
The comments did not sit well with the Afrobeats queen. While at the airport en route to New York, Tiwa took a moment away from her team to post a fiery Instagram video addressing Naijashimadun.

In the clip, she lashed out at him, calling him a “useless man” who seeks relevance by disrespecting successful women. Switching between English and Yoruba, Tiwa questioned his mental state, saying:
“I heard there is one useless man that is talking recklessly on social media, setting ring light for a successful woman. I have to respect you because you look older, but sir, are you okay? Are you normal? Abi won jugbe mo yin ni sir? Abi werey jeun loriyin ni sir? I have a plane to catch, I’ll see you in New York.”
The exchange has since sparked heated debates on social media, with fans divided between defending Tiwa Savage’s legacy and criticizing her response to industry commentary.
