Nigerian Singer, Tiwa Savage has shared the inspiration behind her hit single, “Somebody’s Son” and how her collaboration with Brandy came to be.
Tiwa Savage in a new video series that she posted on her Instagram page shared the inspiration behind her hit song, “Somebody’s Son” which has been dominating Tik-Tok.
According to the African bad Gyal, the song tells the story of a girl who has been hurt so many times by people she thought loved her but yet hasn’t given up hope on trying to find love.
“Somebody’s Son is a girl who’s been heartbroken one too many times and instead of her being bitter or her losing hope, she has faith that she is going to find love again”

When asked how she got Brandy to feature on the song, Tiwa revealed that she had been looking to work with the American singer for a long time but only recently got connected to her as a result of a friend.
She also revealed that her and Brandy’s relationship have gotten so close that they are like sisters now.
So I have been trying to work with Brandy for as long as I can remember but I eventually met somebody who knew, who was like a connecting link between the both of us and they made the introduction. It’s just been incredible since then, we’re like sisters now”
