Tiwa Savage reveals why she cancelled all upcoming shows.

Nigerian Afrobeat award-winning artist Tiwa Savage has made the decision to cancel all her upcoming performances to focus on her recovery from an undisclosed “virus.”

The Afrobeats Queen, as she is affectionately known, shared this information via her social media page on October 7th, in an official statement to the public.

Regrettably, her highly anticipated first-ever arena show in London as a headliner has also been postponed, along with all her other scheduled performances.

While the specific name of the virus was not disclosed in her post, Tiwa Savage indicated that she has received medical advice to observe strict vocal rest for the next several months.

Consequently, she has chosen to put all her performances on hold to ensure a full and speedy recovery.

The statement read in part: ‘To my Savage Soldiers, I have been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today finally instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.’
