Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has shared her perspective on the surge of entertainers emerging from Nigeria, attributing it to the economic hardship many young Nigerians face.

In a candid conversation on the Shopping The Sneakers podcast, the award-winning singer highlighted how the challenges of living in Nigeria fuel creativity and determination among its youth.

“When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars,” she explained. “To survive in Nigeria is something else, so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”

Savage’s remarks underscore the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerian artists, who often channel their struggles into their music and craft.

Speaking during a recent interview with Beats FM, the ‘Attention‘ crooner revealed that the Range Rover, reportedly worth₦350 million, was the most extravagant gift she had ever received.

However, she chose to return it due to her lack of emotional connection with the giver.

“I wasn’t feeling the guy,” Tiwa candidly confessed.

During the interview, Tiwa also discussed her distinctive approach to social media and managing her finances. She admitted she rarely checks her message requests on social media platforms, choosing instead to focus on more meaningful priorities.

When it comes to her finances, Tiwa emphasized her devotion to her son, Jamil, making him her top priority.
