It’s difficult to survive in Nigeria – Tiwa Savage
Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has shared her perspective on the surge of entertainers emerging from Nigeria, attributing it to the economic hardship many young Nigerians face.
In a candid conversation on the Shopping The Sneakers podcast, the award-winning singer highlighted how the challenges of living in Nigeria fuel creativity and determination among its youth.
“When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars,” she explained. “To survive in Nigeria is something else, so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”
Savage’s remarks underscore the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerian artists, who often channel their struggles into their music and craft.
