“I love and respect Wizkid; it’s not about him” – Tiwa Savage Dismisses Long-Standing Romance Rumors With Wizkid
Afrobeats diva Tiwa Savage has finally set the record straight on persistent rumors linking her romantically to Wizkid, stressing that while they share a strong bond, their relationship has never been romantic.
Speaking during a candid interview on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Savage explained that their stage chemistry and frequent collaborations fueled speculation about her and Wizkid. “It’s not Wizkid. I love Wizkid, shout-out to Wizkid, but we weren’t in a relationship,” she clarified.
For years, fans and media outlets speculated about a secret romance between the two superstars, especially after Savage once hinted at being involved with a public figure. But she revealed that the person in question was not an artist and entirely separate from her professional ties to Wizkid.
Savage also reflected on how quickly admiration and friendship are often misconstrued in the public eye. “People see us working together and automatically assume there’s something more. But admiration and friendship don’t equal a relationship,” she said.
