As political parties in Nigeria prepare for the general elections in 2023, popular singer Timi Dakolo tells INEC to hold a mandatory debate for all presidential candidates.
This comes after the All Progressives Congress’s National Leader, Bola Tinubu, was declared the winner of the party’s presidential primary after Atiku emerged as the PDP’s candidate and Peter Obi as the Labour Party’s representative.
Dakolo, who recently lambasted the All Progressives Congress (APC) organizing committee for using his song without his permission, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to insist on a presidential debate, saying he is eager to hear the candidates outline their plans for Nigerians.

On the 8th of June 2022, The singer took to his social media page to requested that INEC disqualify any candidate who refuses to participate in the debate.
He Wrote:
I can’t wait for the president debate. This time we must insist on the presidential debate.
