Davido’s ‘Timeless’ Wins Album Of The Year At AFRIMMA 2023.
Nigerian Afrobeat sensational superstar David Adedeji Adeleke, who is professionally known as Davido, achieved a big milestone at AFRIMMA 2023, as his album ‘Timeless,’ released just five months prior, was declared the Album of the Year.
The DMW boss emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners at the 10th edition of AFRIMMA, which took place on Sunday night, September 17, at the grand Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.
The ‘Unavailable‘ crooner, who unveiled his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ in March 2023, clinched the prestigious AFRIMMA Album of the Year award, triumphing over formidable competitors such as Asake’s ‘Work Of Art,’ Stonebwoy’s ‘5th Dimension,’ Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone Deluxe,‘ Amaarae’s ‘Fountain Baby,‘ among others.
This accolade marked Davido’s first award for the groundbreaking ‘Timeless‘ album, which, shortly after its release, soared to become the highest-charting African album on iTunes and claimed the coveted number two position on the US Apple Music Albums chart.
