Nigerian singer and songwriter Inetimi Timaya Odon, better known by his stage name Timaya, has urged Nigerians to be aware of evil in the community, warning that even their best friends could use them for money rituals.
The artist was reacting to news of adolescent boys in Ogun State killing a girlfriend and burning her head for money ritual.
Recall, Men from the Ogun State Police Command apprehended the three teens in the early hours of Saturday after receiving a tip from the community security guard, Segun Adewusi.

According to Ogun state commander of police, he said:
“Three young boys whose ages range between 17, 19, and 20 years were in the early hours of Saturday 29th of January 2022 arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for killing a girlfriend of their friend for money-making ritual.
“On interrogation, the arrested suspects confessed that what they were burning in the local pot is the head of the girlfriend of their escaped accomplice.
“They confessed further that the girl who was simply identified as Rofiat was lured by her boyfriend simply identified as Soliu to where she was murdered by three of them, after which they cut off her head and packed the remains in a sack, and dumped it in an old building.
Reacting to the reported news, the singer took to his social media page to advise Nigerians to be very careful as their supposed Bestie or paddy can use them for ritual.
He wrote:
“17 years old boys doing money ritual?? Innocent humans killed for money, even your own homeboy can use you.
Watch out guys, it’s really Cold Outside.”
