The Recording Academy has postponed the 2022 award ceremony due to COVID concerns.
The Recording Academy has announced the postponement of the 2022 Grammy Awards ceremony due to the new COVID 19 Omicron variant.
Taking to their official Instagram page on the 5th of January, they made the announcement.
According to them;
“After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community and our many partners, we have postponed the 64th #GRAMMYs.We look forward to celebrating Music’s Biggest Night on a future date, which will be announced soon. ????✨”

In like manner, the 63rd Grammy ceremony was postponed in a similar manner. It was moved till the 14th of March due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles.
