Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has opened up about the health condition that is preventing her from performing at her upcoming shows in England.

Tems, a leading vibe and rising global sensation, recently shared with fans the reason for the cancellation of her shows in England, and it’s not good.

On June 14th, the singer revealed to her fans, the Rebel Gang, that she has been diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis and is currently taking time off to see what’s left of her voice.

Tems went on to say that her doctor had advised her to cancel her upcoming shows in Birmingham and London, which were scheduled for the 15th and 17th of July, respectively.

The Damages hitmaker condition, reflux laryngitis, is an irritation in the back of the throat caused by stomach acid or other chemicals and appears to be common among singers.

The singer, who has been touring in the UK and the US since late last year, stated that tickets for the show are still valid and promised to return in even better health.
