Tems has also revealed details about her collaboration with global icon Beyoncé, sharing that she signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before working on Beyoncé’s 2022 album, *Renaissance*.
In an interview with New York Times’ Culture Reporter Reggie Ugwu, Tems recounted her initial disbelief upon receiving the invitation from her team. “My team just messaged me like, ‘Yo, first of all, I have to send you something to sign.’ I was losing my mind. Like, What?!” she shared, reflecting her excitement.
Tems explained that she agreed to the NDA and subsequently joined Beyoncé in Los Angeles. Their collaboration resulted in the single “Move,” featured on Beyoncé’s Grammy-nominated album *Renaissance*.
In addition, Tems revealed that a “serious illness” forced her to delay the release of her debut album.
