I was pushed out of a plane mid-air – Tems recalls most dangerous experience
Nigerian award-winning artist Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has disclosed the most dangerous activity she has ever engaged in. The 28-year-old singer revealed that she once went skydiving with her cousins and was coerced to jump out of a plane at mid-altitude.
In a recent interview with Elle, the “Damages” crooner explained that the daredevil experience occurred because her uncle convinced them to try it. Tems recounted changing her mind when it was time to jump, questioning the reasons behind doing it in the first place. Despite her hesitation, she was pushed out of the plane during the skydiving adventure.
The interviewer asked, “What’s the most dangerous thing you’ve every done?”
Tems responded, “The most dangerous thing I’ve ever done is jump out of a plane. I don’t even know how high but I went skydiving once. And I think for a second I was like, ‘Am I dying? I don’t know who sent me to do this. I don’t know why I decided to do this but here I am falling.’
“My uncle convinced me and my cousins to jump. I was like, ‘Wow! So cool. Daredevil.’ And then we got into the plane and I was like I will just stay in the plane and they said I can’t. They pushed us out.”
