Tems is Officially a Golden Globes Nominee

Tems, Rihanna, Brad Pitt, Angela Bassett & Viola Davis nominated for 2023 Globe Globe Awards
Nigerian singer, Tems doesn’t seem to be stopping when it comes to making history as a Nigerian artist as she recently became the first Nigerian artist to bag a Golden Globes nomination.
Along with Rihanna, Ludwig Göransson, and Ryan Coogler, Tems has been nominated for “Best Original Song, Motion Picture” for “Lift Me Up” from the soundtrack of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
“All the Stars,” from the original Black Panther, was nominated in this category four years ago.
In the competition for Best Original Song – Motion Picture, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga will square off.
Swift received a nod for the song “Carolina” from Where the Crawdads Sing; Rihanna earned a nomination for the song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; and Lady Gaga was given a nomination for the song “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, which she co-wrote with BloodPop® and Benjamin Rice.

“Ciao Papa” (a song from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio) and “Naatu Naatu” from RRR are the other contenders in the category.
Some of the notable nominees for this year’s edition included “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “White Lotus,” and “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”
The awards will be awarded on January 10, 2023, and will be hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The 2023 Golden Globe Awards air on NBC on Tuesday, January 10.
