Tems is the Cover Star for ‘The Cut’ Magazine 2024.
R&B sensation Temilade Openiyi, widely recognized as Tems, stands out as one of Africa’s prominent female exports, elegantly featured on the cover of ‘The Cut’ Magazine’s January 2024 edition.
Connor Garel also interviewed her, and she was described as the “top streamed female artists in sub-Saharan Africa”, “discography is slimmer than PinkPantheress’s, but she already has a Grammy, a Golden Globe nomination, and a Billboard record for the earworm Free Mind”.
The magazine featured an article that characterized her as someone unique, stating, “NO ONE SOUNDS LIKE TEMS. The Nigerian singer-songwriter mesmerized music’s biggest names with a handful of songs. That was just the beginning“.

In addition, Tems stated in the interview that she is “basically done” with her upcoming album, although she does not yet have a release date or cover.
Tems has opened up about the motivation behind her annual wardrobe sales, shedding light on the reasons for this practice. Recently, the renowned “Damages” artist hosted a wardrobe sale, successfully selling out everything from clothing to accessories.
In a recent interview with Cool FM, Tems revealed that her inclination towards shopping and being a self-professed shopaholic led her to initiate these sales as a means to declutter her wardrobe. Notably, she shared that the proceeds generated from these sales are directed towards charitable causes.
