Nigerian international superstar Tems is celebrating another monumental achievement as her hit single Love Me Jeje has officially surpassed 500,000 units in sales in the United States (US).

According to Chart Data, this milestone makes the song eligible for an RIAA Gold certification, adding to her already impressive list of accomplishments.
This new recognition comes just three months after Tems added four RIAA certifications to her collection, solidifying her place as one of the highest-certified Nigerian artists in history. Love Me Jeje joins her growing portfolio of hits, further cementing her position as a global force in music.
The track itself is one of Tems’ biggest successes, earning her a second Grammy Award for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, a testament to her immense talent and international appeal.
Tems‘ global influence was further highlighted when she graced the prestigious 2025 MET Gala, where she was one of the stars in attendance.

During her red carpet interview, the artist took the opportunity to emphasize that African music is far more diverse than the internationally popular Afrobeats genre.
She shared, “African music is way more than just Afrobeats that the international audience is mostly familiar with,” and went on to suggest that other genres within the continent could follow Afrobeats’ success in becoming global sounds.
With Love Me Jeje reaching new heights and her message about African music resonating worldwide, Tems continues to break barriers, shaping the future of global music culture.
