Grammy-winning artist Tems has undeniably left an indelible mark on the Nigerian music scene since her debut in 2018.

Despite a slight decrease in her output compared to the prolific years of the early 2020s, Tems remains a significant presence. In 2023, she released only two singles, “Not” and “Angel and Me & U.”

At the 2024 Billboard Women in Music event, award-winning artist Tems clinched the prestigious Breakthrough Award, marking a significant milestone in her career.
This ceremony, renowned for celebrating the leading ladies of music, acknowledges rising artists, creators, producers, and executives for their noteworthy contributions to the industry and community. Tracee Ellis Ross, acclaimed for her iconic role in Black-ish, exuded vibrancy as the host of the event, held live on March 6th, 2024, at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.
Among the luminaries in attendance were industry powerhouses such as Pink Panthress, 3-time Grammy winner Victoria Monet, K-pop sensation New Jeans, Ice Spice, Justin Skye, Saweetie, and Coco Jones, adding to the prestigious aura of the ceremony. Additionally, Koral G was honored with the Woman of the Year award, presented by Sofia Vergara.
