Tems stuns at the Time100 Next Gala in New York.
Nigerian award-winning artist Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, made a notable appearance at the Time100 Next Gala in New York City on October 24, 2023.
The international music sensation achieved a significant milestone by earning a place on the 2023 Time 100 Next List. The gala brought together more than a hundred esteemed guests in Midtown Manhattan.
Tems received an invitation to attend the Time 100 Next Gala in New York City after securing her spot on the 2023 list. She was featured in the Phenoms category alongside other renowned figures like Ice Spice, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Ramsey.
The Times introduced the exceptional list as part of its effort to redefine how it shares stories, and contemporary leaders select the current list to honor those who are making remarkable strides in their respective fields. Notably, American singer and rapper Mary J. Blige nominated Tems for this recognition.

Adding to her list of accomplishments, Tems has now officially become the most certified female Nigerian artist in Canada. Tems recently marked her return from a two-year hiatus with the release of her hit single titled “Me & You.”
