Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has provided a unique perspective on what it’s like to date her. The 29-year-old Afrobeat star likened the experience to discovering a rare flower.

In a recent chat with journalist Chinasa Anukam on the ‘Is This Seat Taken’ podcast, BigTems used a floral analogy to describe her personality.

She explained that while she may not appear attractive from the outside, there is an inner beauty waiting to be discovered.

“Dating me is like stumbling upon a rare species of flower that looks black from the outside. When you open it, you find pink and purple hues, and at its core, there’s a stone,” Tems said.

In other news, BigTems has made history by becoming the highest-charting Nigerian female artist on the Billboard 200.

Her debut album, “Born in the Wild,” has reached the 56th position on the Billboard 200, the US chart for top albums.

According to a report by Chart Data on X, Tems has achieved the highest placement ever by a Nigerian female artist on this chart.

Tems joins a prestigious list of Nigerian artists who have made their mark on the Billboard 200, including Rema, Sunny Ade, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asake, and Ayra Starr.

Recall, Tems began her globe tour following the publication of her debut album ‘Born In The Wild‘, stunning audiences with a dazzling performance during a concert in France.
