Tems becomes highest charting Nigerian female artist on the Billboard 200 chart ever, after release of โBorn In The Wildโ album
Nigerian artist Tems has achieved a new milestone on the US Billboard 200 chart with her debut album, “Born In The Wild.” The album initially debuted at #56, setting a record for the highest-charting debut by a female Nigerian artist.
Currently, “Born In The Wild” holds the 191st spot on the Billboard 200 chart, marking its third consecutive week on the chart. This achievement makes it the longest-charting album by a female Nigerian artist on the Billboard 200.

Tems has been working on this album since 2021, following her “If Orange Was A Place” EP. In early 2023, she won her first Grammy for her contribution to Future and Drake’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single “Wait For U.”
Tems also kicked off her “Born In The Wild World Tour” on June 12 in London. The tour will cover the UK and Europe until August 22, after which the North American leg will begin in Miami Beach. She plans to extend her tour to Africa and Australia in the fall.
