On the 2nd of May 2023, He took to his Twitter page saying, ‘You people complaining about Soweto remixes so make we keep the Machala one?’.

Victony has revealed that his smash hit song ‘Soweto’ was a freestyle.
The singer made this revelation in a recent interview on the well-liked podcast program Tea with Tay.
Victony claims that “Soweto” was a freestyle that was recorded in 2021 rather than a song that he intended to write. He said that anyone could tell it was a freestyle since it sounded ‘unserious,’ in his words.
He said that ‘Soweto‘ was recorded on the same day that he recorded ‘Rosemary,’ as well.
