American rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine had his over 79 million naira donation to an American foundation called the “The No Kid Hungry Foundation” turned down.
Tekashi 6ix9ine who was in the news after his first Instagram Live after he was released from prison broke the internet with over two million viewers.
Tekashi accompanied this with the release of his new song, “GOOBA,” as well as the launch of the accompanying merch line which he reportedly made over 2 Million Dollars from in less than a week.
The rapper decided to make a 200,000 Dollars donation to an organization called the “The No Kid Hungry Foundation”.
However, the spokesman for the foundation, Laura Washburn, said the foundation declined the donations.
According to her, “We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation,” Washburn said. “As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine didn’t take well to the Foundation’s response because he took to social media to express his disgruntlement with them.
In a retracted post he made earlier on his Instagram page, he wrote, “@nokidhungry rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children I never seen something so cruel.”
