Nigerian singer Iyanya has asserted that he endorsed his estranged Ghanaian girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson’s controversial memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ without prior knowledge of his inclusion in the book.

Mp3bullet reported, the Ghanaian actress detailed her experiences with Iyanya in a chapter titled “Iyanya And My Love Life,” revealing her discoveries about his alleged infidelity with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh.

In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Iyanya admitted to endorsing the book without being aware of its contents. Despite his previous promise to address Nelson’s allegations when the book was released, he stated that he is not yet prepared to respond to the accusations of infidelity.

Iyanya emphasized that he and Nelson maintain a positive relationship and communicate regularly, indicating that despite any past issues, they remain on good terms.

Nigerian Afrobeat artist Iyanya reveals how his present relationship was almost put in jeopardy as a result of Yvonne Nelson, his ex-girlfriend and actress from Ghana, accusing him of having an extramarital affair with Tonto Dikeh.

On the most recent episode of the “Tea With Tay” podcast, which is hosted by the actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan, Iyanya made this revelation.

On June 18, 2023, Yvonne Nelson published a book titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” in which she detailed how she discovered Iyanya’s supposed affair with Tonto Dikeh.

“That stuff [Yvonne Nelson’s allegations] is crazy, bro. That stuff almost made me lose a relationship. A current relationship.

“Before this book [Yvonne Nelson’s memoir], I was talking to one innocent girl who is not famous but immediately that book came out, everything became shaky. The girl was feeling like, ‘Omo, this guy, have you changed? Are you sure you won’t do me the same?’” he stated.

Award-Winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has responded to the allegations made by actress Yvonne Nelson, who claimed in her memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” that he pressured her to have an abortion after impregnating her.

‘He said no’ Yvonne detailed in a chapter of her book where she said “I wasn’t the only one responsible for the situation, so I called the man whose potent seed had germinated in me. His name is Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie”.

“Sarkodie was a budding musician with the potential to become one of the biggest artists in Ghana and beyond. At the time, however, the future looked uncertain, and his way through the maze of life still appeared too foggy to predict. Success was not guaranteed. He was still living with his mother and was not ready to carry a burden while he was being carried by his mother,” she added.

In his song titled “Try Me,” Sarkodie addressed the issue, stating that he was not the one who insisted on the abortion, although he admitted that he was not financially prepared at the time. He revealed that Yvonne Nelson had made the decision to terminate the pregnancy because she was pursuing her education.

“I never thought I was going on this wave, cause I was ready to take a couple of things to my grave. First of all, let me clap for you baby you are brave but you can’t pick and choose what to say pls behave, nobody sent you so Ohemaa if you want to talk, you have to tell the world every n*gga that you f*cked” Sarkodie rapped.

Ghanaian rap artist Michael Owusu Addo, also known as Sarkodie, has broken silence and thrown heavy shade at actress, Yvonne Nelson over her recent explosive revelation over pregnancy claim.

Recall, Mp3bullet reported that she claimed the Hip Hop artiste impregnated her in 2010 but refused to take responsibility.

She said that they were in a short-lived relationship and that after he rejected the pregnancy, she was forced to have an abortion.

In her newly released biography, the actress opened up all about the incident, including how she informed Sarkodie that she was pregnant with his child.

Sarkodie, who had kept silent while the matter was making waves, suddenly responded on his Instagram account.

Following claims from her book that she learned about their romance through a third party who stayed with him, he made the request in a post on his Twitter page.

Yvonne had said that she received an anonymous call from an inside who informed her that a popular actress used to visit Iyanya’s house when he left and that person turned out to be Tonto.

She said in part; “One can therefore imagine my shock when I went to Ghana after one of my visits to Nigeria and someone called me from his house.

The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress came over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that there was something going on between them and thought I should know. That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria, one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his “Ur Waist” song.

When I was convinced about the authenticity of the information I received, was heartbroken. I took to Twitter to rant and vent. Tonto Dikeh responded on Twitter, saying people changed and so did feelings, so I should move on.”

The ‘Ur Waist‘ hitmaker asked her to name the person in his residence who had called her. He went on to say that when she does, he would confront the realities of the situation.

The actress admitted in her biography that Sarkodie was responsible for her becoming pregnant in 2010, but he would not accept responsibility.

According to Yvonne, their relationship did not endure very long, and after he rejected the child, she was forced to get an abortion.

Nelson described how she called Sarkodie to let him know she was pregnant with his kid.

Iyanya and Ice Prince were mocked by a fan for getting to be with the actress only after Sarkodie as a result of her disclosure.

Yvonne Nelson, a well-known actress from Ghana, revealed that her ex, music sensation Iyanya, cheated on her with actress Tonto Dikeh from Nigeria.

It was a pattern, his way of life. I knew I eventually would have left even if Tonto Dikeh hadn’t come into the picture. I did not see the need to keep fighting her for a man I had lost, especially when I knew her fate was not going to be different from mine.”
