Shasha Damilola Alesh, better known by his stage name Dice Ailes, has disclosed that legendary rapper and singer Olamide used his money to finance a portion of the “Pim Pim” music video shoot.

Olamide made an appearance in Dice’s Pim Pim, which was released in 2020 at the height of the coronavirus epidemic.

The artist said that he was in Nigeria at the time while Olamide was abroad in a conversation with broadcaster Adesope Olajide.

Since neither of them was able to fly to the other’s location, Olamide used his own funds to film his portion of the song’s music video and delivered it to him.

He hailed the YBNL nation founder for what he did and said that he will always be grateful.

David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed his thoughts on who he believes will be the next Afrobeats singer to take the globe by storm.

In an interview, the DMW boss was asked to choose the musician who, in his opinion, will be the genre’s next major star.

Davido stated that it was difficult to single out one individual because there are so many that are currently performing well in the genre.

He began by praising Naira Marley, adding that his story of returning to Nigeria from the United Kingdom and starting the Marlian movement is remarkable.

Omo Baba Olowo continued by mentioning popular producers turned singers Young John and Pheelz, both of whom have recently had massive hit singles.

Producer turned Musician, Young John has spoken out about how his mother enabled him to improve his career and social life.

Young John revealed during a conversation with TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that he used to be timid and suffered from social anxiety, which prevented him from doing a lot of things.

However, his mother, a psychologist, persuaded him to go to therapy after viewing her patients.

“I always used to be really shy. Being young, I thought it was a normal thing but my mother is a psychologist she would often talk to me about how to relate with people.

“Along the line, I started getting better but it started getting worst. At some point, I could not attend gatherings and would rather pass through the back door.

“There were so many people and I found it hard. It made me deprive myself of a lot of things. I did not want to be in certain places and didn’t have the courage to do certain things. I had to force myself to snap out of it,” he said.

He noted that if not for his mother it would have been difficult to achieve his dreams.

“My mother helped me a lot to overcome anxiety. I called her and she would give me psychology questionnaires. I had big dreams and, if I kept going that way, it would be hard achieving them,” he said.

According to him, most guys find themselves in such situations but can’t talk publicly about it because society might tag them as ‘Weak’

Nigerian record producer John Udomboso, better known as Young Jonn, has explained in detail why there’s no guaranteed formula for making hit songs.

Some of the songs produced by the beatmaker include Olamide’s “Story for the Gods”, Kizz Daniel’s “Mama”, Flavour’s “Lose Guard” and Davido’s “Biggest Backside.”

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, the music producer discuss in detail he said:

“There is no particular formula for making a hit song. One just has to let it flow. One should understand the working conditions suitable for one and let it flow. No pressure.”

Young John also emphasized that good music days are not over. He said,

When a project like this comes into play, there is so much to expect from it. It varies from a wide range of acceptance, influence, production, and global distribution.

The major importance which is the influence has been taken care of because the features on it speak of great authority; thus great influence = great audience!

Also, we have the acceptance which is certainly not a major problem considering the personae of the artists involved.

Then, for the production, serial hitmakers from the likes of Pheelz, Young John, and a host of others have a lot to do. We are sure they would deliver!

Lastly, we have the distribution company, which we are certain Empire and YBNL has it all figured out!

Now, it will not be a surprise if this project bags several nominations because everything that encompasses music would surface from this project.

For Fireboy, it will be the dawn and the forceful channel to his global dreams. More rooms for such will erupt and surely a new sound of things will be adopted.

Not much will be said if there’s any flop because a wide range of advantages have overshadowed the obstacles.
