Since his breakthrough with the 2011 smash Oleku and debut album Everybody Loves Ice Prince, Ice Prince has carved out a remarkable career, collaborating with African rap heavyweights including Sarkodie and AKA and gaining international acclaim, such as the 2013 BET Award.

His decision to pursue independence with Super Cool Cats in 2015, after parting ways with Chocolate City, has given him creative freedom to evolve his sound—a trend that continues with Starters. The EP follows his 2023 release To Be Continued, which offered fans a more introspective look at his personal and artistic journey, and coincides with recent hints about a full-length album featuring fellow rap legends MI Abaga and Jesse Jagz.

Now available across all major streaming services, Starters reaffirms Ice Prince’s ability to stay relevant by blending his foundational rap roots with contemporary Afrobeat influences.

Nigerian buzzing artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed the official tracklist for his forthcoming album, ‘Eziokwu’, featuring 14 tracks.

The official release date for “Eziokwu,” which includes previously released tracks including “Declan Rice,” “Dog Eat Dog II,” and “Firegun,” is set for this coming Friday, October 6.

In a teaser video posted to his social media pages on October 2, 2023, Odumodublvck announced the tracklist for “Eziokwu”; the full-length video will be released at 7 PM on his YouTube channel.

The 10th edition of the AFRIMMA awards took place at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas, and brought together numerous renowned artists from across Africa.

The Best Newcomer award went to Odumodublvck, who is currently one of Africa’s hottest rappers and recently signed with Def Jam.

This week’s episode of Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio, hosted by Ebro Darden, the global editorial head of hip-hop and R&B, will feature the rapidly emerging Nigerian rapper PsychoYP.

The Hip Hop sensation has established himself as one of the rappers defining the scene and influencing the direction of the genre in Nigeria, where he is a well-known personality.

On July 14, 2023, Psycho released his most recent EP, “Osapa London,” on which he combined Hip Hop with other genres in an effort to appeal to a wider audience.

This Abuja-born rapper discovered his love for music at a young age, one that helped shape his unique style of rap-sung trap that he first presented on his debut EP ‘Lost In The Sauce’ released in 2016).

After receiving nominations for the South African Music Awards and the HipTV Headies Awards, as well as winning the Clout Africa Award for Best Hip-Hop Artiste in 2022, his most recent album, “Osapa London,” demonstrates his development.
