As the year rounds off, Mp3bullet.ng for its first ‘Industry picks for the year’ compiles a list of the Hottest Nigerian Producers of 2022.

The Nigerian music scene is fortunate to have a number of excellent producers, some of whom are paired with superstars whose songs they imaginatively develop and release in the form of chart-topping hits.

These producers are somewhat akin to unsung heroes because without them there would be no hits, and in 2022 they helped elevate Afrobeats by selecting distinctive sounds that were heard beyond of Nigeria.

Mp3bullet.ng chooses the top 10 producers of 2022 after taking into account their credits throughout all catalogues as well as the effects of their work, particularly in Nigeria.

Pheelz

Pheelz is still a fantastic producer even if he has transitioned into a success-making musician. In 2022, he is responsible for Davido’s “Stand Strong,” Tiwa Savage’s “Jaiye Foreign,” and his smash song “Electricity” featuring Davido.

P2J

One of the best producers in Nigerian music, P2J is well known for his collaborations with superstar Wizkid. He produced the majority of the tracks for Wizkid’s fifth album, “More Love, Less Ego,” released in 2022. On Burna Boy’s “Love Damini,” he also produced four songs: “Science,” “Whiskey,” “Dirty Secrets,” and “For My Hand.”

He also produced two tracks to Omah Lay’s “Boy Alone,” and “Tell Everybody.”

Tempoe

Since entering the industry, Tempoe has swiftly made a name for himself as a producer with a knack for creating timeless music. Tempoe produced his smash single ‘Soweto,’ Omah Lay’s ‘Soso’ and ‘Understand,’ and AV’s ‘Confession‘ in 2022.

He also worked on Joeboy’s “Contour,” MI Abaga’s “The Front Door” with Duncan Mighty, and Bad Boy Timz’s “Iz Going.”

Niphkeyz

After establishing himself as a maker of street tunes, Niphkeyz demonstrated in 2022 that he is more talented than only producing street hits. He is the mastermind behind the majority of Zinoleesky’s amapiano compositions and is most recognised for developing the Naija amapiano rhythm.

Blaise Beatz

With his collaboration with Kizz Daniel on “Pour Me Water,” which peaked at the top of the Turntable charts, Blaise Beatz is one of the most important producers of Nigerian music in 2022. His name appears as a producer on a number of albums, including Adekunke Gold’s “Catch Me If You Can.”

He was the producer behind Chris Brown and Wizkid’s “Call Me Everyday“, Kizz Daniel‘s “Cough“, also co-produced “Buga” with Reward Beatz, Blaqbonez “Ess Mama“, Buju(BNXN) “In My Mind” and “LOOSE EMOTIONS”, “No Wahala” by 1daBaton and more.

Chopstix

Aside from earning producing credits on M.I.’s 2022 album ‘The Guy,‘ the veteran Chopstix also created Burna Boy’s international blockbuster single ‘Last Last‘ and ‘Kilometre‘.

Andre Vibez

The majority of the big hits Mavin Records released in 2022 have been produced by him. He produced Mavin’s “Won Da Mo,” Ayra Starr’s “Rush,” which he co-produced with Hoops, Rema’s “Calm Down,” which he also co-produced with London, and Ladipoe’s “Running.”

Reward Beats

Reward Beats had a landmark year in 2022 after producing Kizz Daniel’s international smash single “Buga” and Young Jonn’s chart-topping “Xtracool.”

You can always count on a bouncy, head-spinning, and upbeat beat when you hear the phrase “Tune into the King of sounds and blues.”

Nigerian afrobeat and Apala hip-pop musician Terry Alexandar Ejeh better known by his stage name Terry Apala has officially unveiled the artwork and tracklist for his new album titled ‘RE (Apala Fusion Vol. 1)’.

This was revealed via Instagram on January 31st, 2022.

The singer is working on a project dubbed RE (Apala Fusion Vol. 1), which has a lot of collaboration with Afrobeat stars.

Taking to his Instagram page today, January 31st, 2022, The singer released the artwork and tracklist and also announced the release date as well.

The ace apala singer, composer, and performer’s upcoming album is set to be released on February 4th, 2022.

Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that the EP is titled “Providence,” and it includes six tracks, including the previously released Fireboy-assisted “Running.”

Poe’s “Providence” EP also features Rema, another Mavin artist, and Ghanaian singer Amaarae.

Nothing about the rise of Ladipoe into a dominant rap star was rushed. Over a decade ago, the Nigerian rap artist born Ladipo Eso emerged as a frontrunner in potential rap messiah debates.

The path Ladipoe walked not only tested the patience of the day one fan but also tested the wits and resilience of the man himself.

This is an exquisite opening, very jazzy. I know some bars are about to be slung! Let’s go! Okay, the scheme on that second line has my senses all heightened.

“The secret to longevity is, always you write the narrative.” Lifelines! Fuck, I’m not listening on Tidal.

I need to know who produced this, such a premier the ‘90s bounce. That’s a double entendre, go figure.

Sometimes, Ladipoe raps like he’s delivering the most interesting Ted Talk ever.

“The signature is just an autograph that says pay me first.” Boy! Fam! So.

Many. Quotables. I don’t like that trap line, but this entire song is way too good for me to be nit-picking.

This is how you start an album, man. This should be an album!

Ozedikus tag, my man never misses. BTW, the OG version of “Moslado” is a classic, could care less for what they did to the song for its video.

This is an Afro-Dancehall knock, heads will bob. Rema! Feels like it’s been a long while we heard from him.

Man, I remember when we were making distinctions between Afropop Rema and Trap Rema.

Good times. Ladipoe’s delivery is Teflon, he’s skating with ease on this one. Can’t hear any line to make my ears stand, but this is just a feel-good song

I 1000% believe women are throwing themselves at Rema, I’ve seen the difference in his physical frame from “Dumebi” to “Soundgasm” up close.

London worked on this as well? Yeah, this is a cheat code record. Poe has mastered how to construct pop-rap songs, this is just another flex to prove that. Will revisit.

Poe had just recently dropped his EP featuring Fireboy DML, Amaarae and Rema today.

The rapper made it clear that he took his time creating the project, one that his fans would cherish.

In addition to the previously released Fireboy-assisted Running, Ladipoe’s Providence EP also features fellow Mavin act Rema, and Ghanaian singer, Amaarae.

However, ‘Maja’ serves as a sultry introduction that ushered in the atmosphere, also‘ XXXL’ is a laudable significant track that conveys and relays a vital message of her body size and the stereotype, a very wonderful track therein.
