Congratulations are pouring in for singer Davido’s son, Abdulmalik, as he graduates with honors from Adeleke University.

Known as Man Like Abdul on Instagram, Abdulmalik proudly announced his achievement of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

In an appreciation post on his Instagram page, Abdulmalik expressed his gratitude for completing his academic journey, acknowledging that it was not an easy road. He also thanked his mother for her support and revealed how happy his father, Davido, would be upon hearing the news.

Prince Uthman, the only biological child of the late Obama DMW, was adopted by Davido after his father’s unfortunate passing. Obama DMW, a close friend and road manager of Davido, tragically passed away on June 29th, 2021, after experiencing difficulty in breathing.

David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, is a household name in Nigerian music and has recently suffered a string of agonies as a result of losing extremely close loved ones.

The African megastar musician, who has achieved widespread international acclaim, is also a well-known humanitarian, and millions of his fans are in grief over the death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who drowned in the family’s swimming pool in Lagos on Monday.

Tagbo

One of Davido’s closest friends, Tagbo Umeike, also known as Tagbo, passed away five years ago on October 3, 2017, his birthday.

According to information about his death, Tagbo had a night of binge drinking during which he supposedly drank 40 shots of tequila.

Tagbo’s girlfriend, actress Caroline Danjuma, made a big deal out of his passing and accused Davido and his friends of being to blame.

The Police State Criminal Investigation Department later revealed that Tagbo had been rushed to the hospital unconscious as a result of heavy drinking, by Davido’s order. On arrival at the hospital, a doctor confirmed Tagbo’s death.

DJ Olu

Another one of Davido’s close friends, Olugbenga Abiodun, better known as DJ Olu, passed away suddenly on October 7, 2017.

The Disc Jockey and Chime Amaechi, two crew members of Davido, were discovered dead in a BMW in a garage on Banana Island in Lagos.

According to Ikoyi Police Division reports, they were discovered dead in the automobile, bleeding from their noses and mouths, with chemicals presumed to be narcotics seized from the victims’ corpses.

Olugbenga Abiodun was also the son of Dapo Abiodun, the previous governor of Ogun State.

TJ

In 2020, Davido was thrown into mourning by the death of his personal bodyguard, Ogbeide Tijani Olamilekan aka TJ.

TJ was said to have passed away on the 8th of December due to prolonged sickness. Davido yesterday post an all-black photo on his social media pages.

Davido dropped a note addressing how he feels about the situation. The singer remembered the bodyguard as one who was selfless and always caring.

In his words, TJ was one who was there for him no matter whether he was right or wrong. He also revealed that they have known themselves for eleven years.

Obama DMW

On June 23, 2021, at a hospital in Lekki, Habeeb Uthman, also known as Obama DMW, a business partner of Davido, was reported dead.

He had complained of having trouble breathing, and he had been taken to the hospital where he was later declared dead, it was discovered.

Fortune

Fortunate Ateumunname Peter, sometimes known as Fortune, was Davido’s official photographer who died on September 21, 2021, at the age of 24.

It was reported that Fortune had drowned in a swimming pool during a photo shoot location in Lagos.

Ifeanyi Adeleke is one of Davido’s children and his only son who died at a young age. On October 31, it was discovered that the 3-year-old youngster, who had just celebrated his third birthday on October 20, died after drowning in their family swimming pool at his father’s Banana Island home in Lagos.

It was learned that the musician and his fiancee, Chioma, the deceased’s mother, had left for Ibadan while the boy was still alive and was left with their domestic staff, who had no knowledge of how he got into the pool and drowned. The youngster was taken in an ambulance to a hospital in Lekki but was already dead when he got there.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Davido, the leader of 30 BG, discussed his approach to dealing with the deaths of his mother and friends as well as why the song “Stand Strong” is important to him as a musician.

Davido had lost his mother at the age of 10 and according to Rolling Stone magazine he had been really tested when he lost a close friend of his in June 2021 by the name of Habeeb Uthman popularly known as “Obama” and “44,” who had reportedly died after driving himself to the hospital while experiencing difficulty breathing.

According to Rolling Stone, Davido admitted that using the song “Stand Strong” as a coping mechanism helped him deal with the losses he had to endure.

Sir Victor was a unique musician, songwriter, instrumentalist, sculptor, and university lecturer.

Obama DMW died on June 29th, shortly after complaining of chest trouble and driving himself to the hospital. Davido’s late music executive was a dear friend and a key figure in his DMW record label.

Davido took it hard after Obama’s death and withdrew from social media for a period. He was only photographed or videotaped while he was eulogizing his late companion.

In an interview with legendary hip-hop radio personality Angie Martinez on Power 105.1, Tiwa Savage revealed why she wouldn’t want her son, Jamil Balogun to do music.

Fortune Shotz, also known as Fortunate Peter Ananyo Umunname, was laid to rest at Atan Cemetery in Yaba Lagos.

His funeral was held at a church, and he was laid to rest at Atan Cemetery in Abule Oja, Yaba-Akoka, Lagos State.

Fortune was 24 at the time of his death.

The photographer was said to have drowned on Tuesday evening, September 21, 2021, in a location in Lagos.

Fortune’s death was widely reported on social media after a Tweet purporting to be from a friend of the deceased went viral, reporting his death.
