Rapper E.L has given an explanation for why, given the rise in Ghanaians who resemble prominent musicians, he is likely the only artist whose doppelganger won’t be discovered.

Elom Adablah, better known by his stage name E.L, is a Ghanaian Afrobeats musician, rapper, and singer.

The previous Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) asserted that because of his height, it would be difficult for any aspiring singer to assert that he represents and resembles him.

E.L said in an interview with Amansan Krakye that no one could be considered his lookalike since he is too tall.

“As for me, I’m too tall for a look-alike. Nobody is as tall as me, so unless you find someone who matches my height, they can be my look-alike,” he remarked during his conversation.

E.L recently made headlines when he revealed an unusual aspect of his personality that had previously been hidden from his followers.

At the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Artiste of the Year explained how he had hustled in the USA to make ends meet.

Haven’t said that, in a recent interview with 3Music TV, E.L acknowledged that there was a point when, while still being well-known as a musician in Ghana, he had to work as a food delivery man in the US in order to maintain his physical and emotional well-being. He said the experience had made him humble.

Time transforms you and imparts a great deal of wisdom, especially after going through some difficult experiences. I’ve been here before.

“I had to start delivering food at one point while living in the States. Yes, it was that profound. In order to support myself, I delivered food door to door,” he admitted in the interview.

“I’ve been through things, and those experiences teach you things like humility”. Therefore, if I encounter an artist and they ask me for help, the first thing I say is to “cool down” and “see anything yet.”

In an interview, Sarkodie expressed concern about how Ghanaians allow records to slip through their fingers, giving the impression that Ghanaian artists are being left behind when it comes to going global.

“we let go easily and tend to frustrate ourselves, we need to highlight our moments,” he said.

Sarkodie noted on Hitz 103.9 FM’s Day Break show that a number of Ghanaians have attended the BET Awards and earned other international records, but that because it isn’t widely publicised, people tend to forget about it, making it appear as though Ghanaian talents aren’t working.

“We have done incredibly well but we still look out there for what other people are doing, I am not saying we should be comfortable but at least Ghanaians should just appreciate these moments, we have done things and still doing more,” the rapper told Andy Dosty.

Quoting an example, he said, ” I remember when BET was posting Burna Boy selling out the Apollo, they said the first Afrobeat artist to sell out the Apollo, you see it’s because we don’t hold on to it, I did it before him”.

According to the Rapper, “there are a lot of things we have done before everybody but we have left them unsaid, Fuse ODG has done a lot but we just want to skip look at what someone is doing and highlighting”.

Sarkodie, who recently released his sixth studio album, “No Pressure,” played at the famed New York City Apollo Theater in August 2015, where he was joined by Banky W, Samini, E.L., Shatta Wale, The Compozers, Kwaw Kese, and Bisa Kdei.

Burna Boy also performed at the Apollo Theater, which was sold out, but Sarkodie is claiming that he (King Sark) did it first, before the ‘African Giant’ singer.
